GO423 Locally Made Games Exhibition – Free public exhibition
This year we will be hosting over 20 locally made games – all presented by their creators and studios. From VR to table-top, PC and console, and mobile.
Come and play and chat to the devs that made the games. The exhibition is open all day from 10.00am – 5.00pm.
Game Dev Hot Seat – Free public event
10.00 – 5.00pm
Game Dev Hot Seat will be running on-stage throughout the day. Get to know the people who make the games as they share their stories, ideas and ambitions and dive into the process of game development. Presented by local 4ZZZ gaming radio show Zed Games.
Emerging Developer Room
Are you an emerging developer, game design student, or solo dev who would love to chat with an industry mentor?* Are you in need of headshots for your work, but unable to afford it?* Do you have a portfolio or resume, but you have no idea whether it would get you work in the industry? Come along to the Emerging Developer Room to meet some of our local experienced game developers, receive answers to your questions, and grab a headshot for your social media and future speaking engagements all in one place
Mentor session 1: 11am – 1pm
Mentor session 2: 3pm – 5pm
Headshots available: 1pm – 5pm

Gameloft Creative Kids Workshop– Join us in the Graffiti Room for creative hands-on activities created by Gameloft artists especially for children and families. Create your own personalised art for games and meet artists from the team! (Registration via Brisbane Powerhouse GO423 page)
2.00 – 4.00pm
Board Game Design Workshop– come along and design your own game using the resources provided. Last year we focused on card games. This year we are going to have a crack at dice games. All materials will be provided free of charge. Suitable for all ages. Presented by Martin Wallace. Martin is a professional board game designer with over twenty five years experience in the industry. He has over eighty games to his name and has won multiple awards. His best known designs are Brass, Discworld Ankh Morpork and Steam. (Registration via Brisbane Powerhouse GO423 page)

GO423 grand finale: Loot Crate Debate – Free public event
Join our local industry veterans John Passfield and Dan Vogt as they host a panel of local developers and a “Lucky Dip Debate’ which invites the panelists to take turns drawing a topic from the loot crate and gives them 2 minutes to argue about it in a quick-fire debate session!
Followed by our time honoured networking and social event in the bar. Join us and Screwtape Studios for a very special celebration: Damsel: Causing Distress
